How do I get started on Keep?

  • SIGN UP — First things first, sign up for free by clicking the Sign Up link on the homepage of Keep.com. Please upload a photo of yourself, or an image that will represent you, and include some descriptive copy about yourself and/or your style. You may include links to your site or blog if you'd like.

  • BROWSE — Then, browse the amazing products you see on Keep. When you see something you like, you can buy it, or Keep it for later, or you can see who Kept it and explore more of their Keeps.

  • FOLLOW — Following people you find on Keep will create a custom experience tailored to your style. Under MyFeed, you'll see just the Keeps from people you follow.

  • KEEP FROM RETAIL SITES — Bookmark amazing products you find on retail sites across the web using the Keep It button. Drag the Keep It button to your browser bookmark bar, and click it when you see something you want to bring over to Keep. You can create wishlists for yourself (hint, hint, honey…) or gift lists for others. Or, start putting together that dream living room or rockstar New Year's Eve outfit.

Is everything on Keep available for purchase?

Yes, that's the idea! Browse, discover, buy. Our Keep It button only works on retail sites, so you won't see many crafts or recipes on Keep. We're not so much "D-I-Y" as "D-I-BUY."

Sometimes you'll see items marked as "no longer available." It's a bummer, sure, but we do what we can by marking the item as unavailable for you. If you see something you like and find that it's unavailable, why not search for something similar, using Keep search, or browse the original Keeper's Collections to find other products you might like?

Can I upload products into Keep?

Yes, and it's therapeutic. Go ahead – try to stop! Simply drag the Keep It button to your browser bookmark bar. Then, visit your favorite retail sites, and open the "detail page" for a product you want to Keep. Click the Keep It button in your browser bookmark bar and you'll be prompted to select or create a Collection on Keep for that item to live.

Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

What should I do to have the best experience on Keep?

FOLLOW PEOPLE — Following people whose taste you like gives you a completely personalized experience on Keep. Under MyFeed, you'll see just the Keeps from people you follow, so go ahead — make Keep your own! We suggest the Keepers listed here, as they have great taste and bring products into Keep frequently. Another way to find people to follow is to browse the Trending page, see items you like, then discover and follow the person who Kept those items.

KEEP — Great stuff! Either from retail sites you love, or from within Keep. Wishlist for yourself (hint, hint, boyfriend…) or gift lists for others. Or, just great Collections of amazing things you're inspired-by or want-to-buy later.

Does Keep have mobile apps?

How do you decide who to feature as "Suggested Keepers?"

Keepers who consistently Keep amazing products that are in-stock and in-style, and who've built up a robust set of Keeps for their followers to enjoy, make great Suggested Keepers. Can I be a Guest Stylist?

How do price alerts work?

Amazing products are even more appealing when they're on sale! When you Keep an item, we Keep an eye on it for you, and when the price drops, we send you a notification. All your Keeps that have had price reductions are available for you to see at www.keep.com/YourUsername/price-alerts any time. You're welcome.

I ordered something I discovered on Keep, and am having trouble with my order.

We're happy to help, but you might be better off contacting the retailer who you made the purchase through. Keep is a discovery site; we do not sell the merchandise directly. When you click to buy something on Keep, we send you to the retailer for the transaction. If you want a hand tracking down the item, we're happy to help – hello@keep.com.

I own a store and want to showcase my products on Keep. Can I do that?

I run a blog and want to showcase my product recommendations on Keep. What should I be doing?

Great, we'd love you to become a Keeper! Here are some suggestions for how to integrate your blog into Keep and Keep into your blog.

SET UP ON KEEP - When you feature products on your blog, be sure to Keep them into Keep for your audience to easily shop. If you use affiliate coding to earn commissions on your product recommendations, you can embed your affiliate code into your product Keeps by clicking the "Edit" pen icon on the detail page of the Keep.

SHOW OFF YOUR KEEPS - Embed the Keep Collection Card widget into your blog to showcase your product pics to your readership. From an open Collection, click the "Embed" chain link icon.

REFER YOUR FRIENDS - Refer your audience to Keep — and engage with them here! Your custom refer code can be found at www.keep.com/invite.

GET FEATURED ON KEEP! Once your profile is robust with amazing products, shoot us a note and we'll include you in ongoing promotion of tastemakers on Keep. hello@keep.com.

Can I communicate with other Keepers within the system?

Yes. Simply enter @username into the comments field and it'll send them a notification. You can also use the @friend_name feature to find your Facebook friends and invite them into Keep. Shopping is more fun with friends!

Why do I show up as a multi-colored hexagon?

b) You didn't upload a photo when you signed up for Keep, so we defaulted your avatar to a colorful hexagon.

How does my store get visibility on Keep?

Stores that meet the following guidelines will have visibility to the Keep community in areas such as Trending, search results, and recommended browsing:

  • Products are purchasable from the store online.
  • Product pages on your store can be viewed without forced login/signup.
  • Accurate product prices are listed in US Dollars.
  • Products are presented in a simple, clean layout, befitting the Keep aesthetic. We will not showcase Keeps that feature multiple images per Keep, logos, discount markings, promotional text.
  • Contact information for the store, including a physical company address and phone number, is visible on your site.
  • The store has a reputation for providing good customer service and for shipping in a timely manner.
  • The store is not selling "fakes," defined as presenting merchandise as recognizable brands when they're not truly manufactured by the brand itself.
  • Various members of the Keep community other than the store employees are Keeping items from the store into Keep.
  • The store's items are frequently Liked, Kept and Bought by the Keep community at large.
  • The store's merchandise fits the aesthetic created on Keep to delight our audience of stylish women.
