The quirky form of this six-arm candelabra by Jaime Hayon is inspired by a bug on its back. It's exactly the kind of wink-and-nudge in design we've come to expect from the Spanish designer, whose serious design pokes fun at design that is serious.
Atomo is part of the ongoing collection Jaime has has collaborated on for more than a decade with the family-run Italian ceramic house Bosa Ceramiche, based in Borsa del Grappa. As with most of his work for Camper, Lladro and a host of interior and architectural work around the world, Jaime brings a signature whimsy to his work, yet always considering that design is also about living with the stuff. What we love most about Jaime is his design ethos: it's about creating happiness. We couldn't agree more.
