Childhood memories of summers spent on a farm in central Ohio became our inspiration for the sliding barn doors of our Baumann Collection. Artisans hand-plane solid oak grown and harvested in America. Each section is hand-finished with an antique rust patina. Even the hardware has been replicated--the castings for the wheels and tracks are inscribed with the words “Ashland County,” reminiscent of original barn doors. Slide the rustic doors to reveal or conceal additional storage.
Each solid oak plank is hand-planed, hand-sanded and then layered with several coatings of glaze and light stains to reproduce a naturally distressed finish.
Artisans apply a matte lacquer topcoat to each piece for extra protection.
The solid cast iron wheels and hardware are finished in a natural rust patina followed by a finish of soft lacquer to prevent oxidation and staining.
All pieces are handcrafted of solid oak wood that is grown and harvested in the United States in strict adherence to global environmental policies.
Each plank purposefully varies in size to replicate original barn doors.
The center unit on the 112" size can house up to most 50" TVs. The TV cavity is 50” wide and 35” high or 42” high with the shelf removed.
The center unit on the 142.5" size can house up to most 70" TVs. The TV cavity is 65” wide and 35” high or 42” high with the shelf removed.
Cord management holes.
The side units have four adjustable shelves.
Due to the multi-layered finish, each piece will have slightly different shading and grain patterns and will vary from piece to piece.
Some small splits may occur, but will only add to the character. Knots and joint lines are a natural property and add interest without affecting performance.
All natural wood will display movement from season to season because of changes in temperature and humidity.
These pieces are constructed with mortise and tenon assembly.
Due to weight and size, this product can be delivered to first floor only.
