Debbie Moradzadeh obviously didn’t listen to her peers after being discouraged at the lack of choices in her personal wardrobe – and it’s a good thing she didn’t! After graduating college with a degree in Apparel Merchandising in 2002, Debbie found her niche by making articles of clothing in her basement then selling them at local boutiques, which sold out almost immediately. The Los Angeles-based designer launched BOULEE in 2006. She envisioned a collection of effortless and versatile pieces, which unquestionably came to life in the form of silky dresses, skirts, tops and tanks.
After years of sharpening her skills, Debbie introduced BOULEE for holiday 2008 that sparked an interest in high-end boutiques and major department stores across the country. Moradzadeh combined her expertise and creativity to design silhouettes of vibrant colors and prints that drape the body with elegance for a sophisticated and stylish look. While some pieces may have intricate cut outs and show hints of skin, each garment is designed to “cater the many faces of woman’s style, mood and personality and I keep this in mind as I design each collection,” says Debbie.
