Potica (pronounced po-TEE-sa) is an Eastern European specialty cake, which takes all day to make and is painstakingly prepared with paper-thin layers of pastry dough that's filled with walnuts, honey, and lots of sweet creamery butter; and rolled into a slender loaf. Slice Potica thin and enjoy at breakfast and brunch with tea or coffee...or any time at all! Each rich, flakey Potica loaf weighs about 1 lb. and serves 6 to 8. Each traditional potica is baked to order in Minnesota.
