Lumberjack Wood Carving, Signed Quebec Folk Art

Charming little vintage wood folk art old man carving figurine or sculpture. He stands approx. 4" tall. Signed by the artist but I can't make it out (see photo). It has light wear, otherwise in great condition with no major chips or cracks.
