Myth & Symbol — Futagami Brass Stationary Tray

Designed by Oji Mansanori and made by Futagami, these brass stationery trays are available in three sizes. A crude sand casting surface called "IHADA" tops the trays. Use them to hold clips, business cards, pens, jewelry, etc. The weighted trays gradually change their color over the course of years due to oxidization. The longer it is used, the richer and subtler it becomes.

OJI MASANORI FOR FUTAGAMI Founded in 1897, Futagami is one of Japan's oldest metal manufacturer. Futagmi's craftsmen melt the brass at blazing temperatures and then pour the liquid metal into molds of inventively minimal shapes by collaborator and artist, Oji Masanori's. His collection is the winner of the 2009 Interior Lifestyle Awards in Japan.
