Use this versatile globe for decoration or education! Not just a pretty face! 80 faces in fact! It is a polyhedron made of 80 facets. The design of this globe was achieved by dividing a spherical surface evenly by applying the Buckminster Fuller geodesic structure principles. Buckminster Fuller invented the geodesic dome for the purposes of environmental work.
Information included on the globe includes: countries, cities, oceans, island names, latitude, longitude. This information is written in silver using a novel foil technique. You can write (and erase!) on the globe using a white board marker to mark your journeys, or dream journeys!
The inner "core" of the globe represents the earth's structure, ie core and mantle.
This globe comes in a flat kit for you to assemble.
Assembled Size: 230 x 230 x 230 mm. Made from paper with cold foil printing and micro flute printing.
