Like most people, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Valentine's Day. I've been married to my valentine for a long time, but I've spent many lonely days simultaneously dreading February 14th and praying my sweetheart of the moment (if there was one) would remember to pick up a little something for me. Come on, everyone wants a little something for Valentine’s Day.
I've enjoyed fancy romantic dinners at overpriced New York City restaurants and have been lucky to be on the receiving end of a small blue box or two. I've also enjoyed many a boozy pizza night with my single BFF's and frankly, those were the best, 'cause those gals never broke my heart.
Now, I look forward to making Valentine's crafts with my kids. Not really, but I need an excuse to devour CVS Valentine's candy. And hopefully I’ll get some blooms from my guy and toast another year of relative love sanity. I love flowers and hearts and candy, and I love to tell people I love them even more. Sometimes that means buying them a little something to remind them that love is love is love is love.
Here are a few of my top picks:
