Jumpsuits We’ll Live In This Summer
Ah, the jumpsuit. One of the most loved / feared items of clothing out there. Not everyone has a jumpsuit in their closet, but I kind of think they should. Some fear the jumpsuit because they don't know how to wear it, but little do they know, it's a one-stop-shop when it comes to putting together an outfit. If you're ever feeling indecisive on what to wear -- what's easier than putting on ONE piece of clothing? That's it. Boom. Done.
My favorite kind of jumpsuit is something casual -- one I can wear with sandals during the day (and probably do the same at night because I'm trying to not wear heels as much as possible...comfy feet are happy feet). This printed one from NastyGal will hopefully end up in my closet soon. It's definitely a statement, but that makes the rest of the outfit easier to put together -- keep everything else simple. The dressier options are usually a solid black or white (or both!) but I'm especially in love with this one by Camilla and Marc. It's effortless, it's loose and that means I can eat a whole pizza and still feel good about it (white pizza only -- can't get any red sauce on that beauty!)
Besides the printed jumpsuit, you can always make a statement by trying a bold color. ASOS makes a great one but if you're looking to splurge, this citron Valentino jumpsuit is pretty amazing. But one of my favorite kind of jumpsuits are ones that don't look like jumpsuits at all (because I think it's fun to trick your friends). When someone has to question "is that a shirt tucked into pants or all one piece?" I know my work here is done.
