A lovely antique horseshoe brooch. It has bloodstone and carnelian or red agate inlaid in sterling silver with intricate etching. Across the horseshoe is a riding crop with a hoof on the end. It's of Scottish origin I believe, and dates to the late 1800s.
No marks. Measures about 1.75" long and roughly 1.5" wide. Some tarnish.
