A stunning Special Edition MidCentury Vintage chair re-made in collaboration with Parris Wakefield
This Marchena Armchair in the German MidCentury style makes a gorgeously modern statement!
Designed and made in the 1960's, it embodies the spirit of the age when furniture design moved from dark and heavy to light, modern and playful in the family home.
A perfect size for the sitting room, dining room or home office, it has been lovingly upcycled in our workshop with British craftsmenship.
This original vintage chair is available in a luxurious new ZigZag fabric from Parris Wakefield. Each chair is unique, but similar armchairs in a variety of sizes can be made to order in the full range of patterned or plain fabrics we use, so do contact us for samples of our fabrics and to see other chairs we have in stock.
We aim to provide high design products without the environmental impact, so all our furniture is vintage, reducing demand for new natural resources such as timber. We seek to reduce our environmental footprint further by reducing waste, using eco-friendly fabrics and co-ordinating deliveries whenever possible.
This chair has been carefully upcycled from the sturdy woodern frame upwards with all new materials.
This chair has been recovered luxurious in ZigZag by hot new design duo Parris Wakefield, teamed with a deep blue virgin wool from Camira and hot pink piping.
It has been scotchguarded for greater protection against accidental spills, but gentle regular maintenance is suggested to keep it looking its best. The chair legs have been stripped, sanded and rewaxed, and show light signs of age as would be expected on a vintage piece, as do the armrests, which retain some of their patina of wear.
