Sterling Squash Blossom Necklace - Old Pawn Zunie Navajo Turtle - Vintage Native American Indian Jewelry - Hand Pressed Bench Beads ~ 238 Grams

Description & Style: fantastic old pawn Zuni Turtle squash blossom necklace. This piece is amazing.
It has turtles made from cowrie shell and turquoise. The beading and workmanship is exquisitely executed. It has gorgeous hand pressed bench beads throughout the necklace. It is unsigned, however, this is not uncommon for older native pieces. I think this is an A.E. Zunie piece. He did many turtle cowrie squash blossoms and the back of the Naja is a signature design of his.

Color: Turquoise gemstones and sterling Silver

Approximate Size: The necklace itself has 10 turtles measuring 2" x 1 1/4". The Naja has 3 turtles and measures 3 1/2" W X 2 3/4" L. The necklace measures 26" long plus the additional length of the Naja.

Condition: Very good - I did not clean this piece and it is in its original estate condition with lots of lovely patina which helps to authenticate the age of the piece. Beautiful and substantial piece of historical jewelry. What an honor to be able to sell this piece!

Approximate Date: 1960's - 1970's

Hallmarks/signature: Unsigned Tested positive for 925 Sterling Silver
